If it's not one thing it's another. I've been itching to get back to my journaling habits, but I seem to be passing my days in a more or less haze. (Today though, I actually got up when I wanted to. Saw daylight and everything.)

Sunday Velvet had a run in with Rita - she, used to Rita being up at dinner, zipped out the door past me and started acting like a ninny in the kitchen. Knowing her visions I'd say she didn't even know Rita was there until she was being rolled. The problem with the two of them is simply that Velvet is too small to take the same damage the other dogs shrug off. All told she had a huge hematoma where Rita yanked on her ear, a puncture on the side of her neck, another in her other ear, and swelling around around the left side of her face. I stayed up with her the first night, but she seems to have bounced back to her old self, just more subdued and somewhat lopsided.

Tuesday the whole family went into Anchorage for a day. Mom, Dad, and Maybelle were going to *cringe* The Squeakquel‎. I was going to see Avatar, but when we got there it was sold out for the next three-four showings. So I saw Sherlock Holmes instead. I actually think I came out ahead! It was excellent - black magic! Secret societies! Buddy-cop hijinks! Steampunk! Irish folk soundtrack! I squeed when Moriarty made his Dementor-eques debut. The theater was full, so I ended up on the ground level, three or so rows from the screen. *sigh* Wouldn't have been too bad, 'cept the two men in front of me reeked of smoke(and it takes a lot for it to bother me), and one actually fell asleep during the movie and snored! Wtf! I don't see how because the movie is -high- energy.

Well, it's New Years Eve. It's a blue moon tonight too. I'm cutting this short so I can go party with my friends. Good riddance, 2009. May the likes of you never darken my doorstep again. 2010? You're on notice.
